Unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, aged 70 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Corina for 45 years, cherished father and father-in-law of Reece and Aleisha, Daniel and Emma, loved and respected Poppa of Jacob, Mason; and Theo. Adored son of George* and Rena*, loved brother and brother-in-law of Paul and Frances, loved son-in-law of Coral and Alan* Mathieson, loved brother-in-law of Muir and Maxine, Kyla and Jason Gerken, and all his nieces and nephews.
“Now it’s time to put down your tools, and finally rest” A service to celebrate Murray’s life will be held in Millers Flat Hall, 1665 Teviot Road, Millers Flat, on Thursday, May 21, at 1:30pm, followed by private cremation. Surrounded in love, Wilma passed peacefully on Saturday 16 May 2026, at Vickery Court Resthome, Invercargill, with family by her side. Beloved wife of the late Gordon Stewart Capil. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Jackie and Roger Paterson (Invercargill), and David and Shelley Capil (Kaiapoi). Loved sister and sister-in-law of Doreen* and Percy* Cribb, Neil* and Heather Soper, Eunice* Soper, Gordon and Elizabeth Soper and Elaine* Coster, Edna* and Dougal* Soper, Ivan* and Francis* Capil, Noeline and Bruce* Freeman. Much loved Nana Capil of her grand and great grandchildren. Respected Auntie Willie of her nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Wilma’s life will take place on Thursday 21 May 2026, in J Fraser & Sons Chapel, cnr Esk and Doon Streets, at 10am, followed by a private interment at Eastern Cemetery. Passed away at Peacehaven Village on Friday, 15 May 2026, aged 83 years. Loved wife of the late Geoff. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Jan and Kenny, Ricky and Di, Tracy and David, Teri and Tigger, and Manu and Laura. Much loved grandmother of Shannon, Shaye, Christopher, Bradley, Brayden, Josh, Nicki, Ashleigh, Jordan, Christian, and Aria, and a loved nan and nana Dorothy of all her great-grandchildren. As per Dorothy’s wishes, a private family service has been held. Dorothy’s family would like to thank the staff of Peacehaven Village, especially Hannah, Yvonne, and Charmaine for their wonderful care of Dorothy over the past eight years. It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our Jake. Much-loved and cherished son of Joel and Morgan, much-loved brother of Ella and Cash. Much cherished grandson of John and Debbie, Chris and Dee, Adored nephew of Kelly, Jordan and Duke, Chris and Sam. A service to celebrate Jake’s life will be held at Southland Crematorium on Friday, the 22nd of May, at 1.30 pm Jake is currently resting at 5 Glenalmond Crescent, Rockdale, Invercargill.
