BARNES, Irene:

At Manapouri on Sunday, March 8, 2026, aged 87. Dearly loved wife of Clifford Henry Barnes for 70 years. Loved and respected mother and mother-in-law of Rosslyn and Stewart Cull, the late Robert, Debbie and the late John Rangi, the late Craig and Gaylene, Geoff and Denisa, Leith and Daryl Olsen. Dearly loved and proud Nan of her 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. The family would like to acknowledge Noel and Sue Walker for their endless support throughout, also Aleshia and Bernie for their kind and gentle caring of Irene, our family are forever grateful. A celebration of Irene's life will be held at the Te Anau Events Centre, Luxmore Drive, on Wednesday, March 11 at 2.00pm. As per Irene's wishes garden flowers only also donations towards The Te Anau Primary School Library or Te Anau Scout Group can be left at the service. Please wear your "Happy Colours".
KEAN, Marie:
3.3.1930 – 6.3.2026
Passed away peacefully at Ripponburn Hospital on Friday, March 6, 2026, aged 96. Loved wife of the late Chris, a much-loved mother to her children Dianne, Tony, Bede, Donna, Julie, Paul and Brent, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A private service will be held on Saturday, March 14, to celebrate Marie's life. Sincere thanks to all the staff at Ripponburn Home, Cromwell, who cared so beautifully for Marie.

Beloved Pop of Raiden, Hendrix, Phoenix, Jimi, Lemmy, Alby, and Beau. Father of Jamie-Lee, and Ryan. Passed away in the loving and wonderful care of the Hospice Southland team. A graveside service for Eddie, will be held at the Eastern Cemetery Block 53 on Monday 16th March commencing at 11 am. Passed on 9th March after a long battle in the care of Hospice Southland. Beloved son of Ted Knowler* and Helen* Toomata. Loved brother of Janice and Andrew Ormsby, Nicky Knowler, Daniel and Ondrea Knowler, and Laina Toomata. Loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews. BFF to Caroline and Rodney, Nicky, and Adam and Lara. "Finally at Peace"
PENNIALL, Peter Lyndon:
Passed away after a long and courageous battle with liver cancer. Loved father of Rebecca, Amanda, and Jared. Father-in-law of Antony, and Hollie. Grandfather of Isaac, Jacob, Braydon, Flynn, Ari, and great-grandfather of Summer, and Carter. Loved partner of Yvonne. Loved brother of Evan, Leigh, and late Ronald, loved brother-in-law of Lois, and Janie. Much loved Uncle to his nephews and nieces. A service to celebrate Peter’s life will be held in the Invercargill Christian Centre, 165 Leet Street Invercargill on Friday 13 March at 11.00am, private cremation to follow.
