KOENIG, Sylvia Joan (formally Shepherd nee Bourke):
Passed away peacefully, at home, on Tuesday July 21, 2026; aged 85. Loved wife of Karl*. Loved mother and mother-in-law of John Shepherd (Wellington), David and Annemarie Shepherd (Vienna). Second eldest daughter of Vin* and Ella* Bourke (Mossburn), loved sister of Val*, Maree*, Pam (Te Anau) and Erin (Wellington). Loved auntie to her nieces and nephews (*denotes deceased). In accordance with Sylv’s wishes a private cremation has been held. Sylv will be interred at the Mossburn Cemetery at a later date. A special thanks to the Doctors and nurses of the Fiordland Medical Centre and the RDNS carers (especially Viv, Janet and Heather) who have gone that extra mile for Sylv over the last few months. MONTEATH-BONN, Marianne:
(3 November 1959 – 22 July 2026)
Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, 22nd July 2026. Cherished daughter of Bernadina and Johannes Bonn. Deeply loved sister of Elsa, John, Dianne, Jacqueline, Sally, and Michael. Treasured mother of Daniel, John, Michele, and Teresa. Adored Nana to all of her grandchildren, and a wonderful friend to many. A service to celebrate Marianne’s life will be held at St Patrick’s Catholic Church, Rimu Street, Invercargill, on Saturday, 25th July at 10:30am.
