SMITH, Gordon Lindsay:
Peacefully, on Friday 27 February 2026; aged 89 years. Beloved husband of the late Jeanette. Loved father and father-in-law of Lindsay and Emily (Christchurch), Maree and Steve Ching (Wellington), Jill and Steve Brett (Christchurch), and Blair and Jane (Oamaru). Much loved grandad of Hamish and Annabelle; Isabella and Scarlett; Olivia and Ashleigh; Charlotte, Henry, and George. Much loved brother of Melva Johnstone (Cambridge). Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Vickery Court Rest Home along with Gordon’s friends for their visits to reminisce about farming, stock agent work, rugby and horse racing. Special mention to Leicester Rutledge for being Gordon’s right-hand man during his time at Vickery Court. A service to celebrate Gordon’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill, on Friday 6 March at 2:00pm. VOIGHT, Alan Leslie Michael:
Peacefully at home, aged 86 years. Loved son of the late Eileen and Leslie Voight. Beloved brother and brother-in-law of Annette* and Arthur* Bishop, and Jeanette and Lindsay* Jones.
