We would like to say a special thank you to the Waiau Town and Country Club and to their amazing staff for everything they did in the days leading up to the farewell, abd during and after the farewell, it was above and beyond! Another special thank you to Gary Tong, Averil, Simon, Kelvin, Frizz and Jordan for their very humble, but very fitting speeches about John and the life he has led. To all the Thirsty Thursday fellas who came, he enjoyed every moment of your time in his favourite back shed - it meant the world to him spending time shooting the breeze and having some laughs. And least we not forget the hospice, district nurse, and staff at the Tuatapere Medical Centre - your time and care is, and was, very much appreciated over the last couple of years. To Kathy and Rick and all the staff at Distinct Funeral Services in Invercargill, your help, assistance and care during our difficult time didn't go unnoticed and we are truly thankful for all you did over the week from John's passing to the day of the farewell and days after. You took the time to get to know John and did such an incredible job portraying him in your amazing music video! You are all truly incredible and made a difficult time just a little bit easier.
