Died peacefully on March 29, 2026, in Geraldine. Dearly loved wife of the late Ossie. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Bob and Susie, Phil and Chrissie, Lynley and David and the late Ann. Loved Grandmother of Tess, Mike, Teri, Tom, Andy, Becky and Grace. Loved great-grandmother of Riley, Ava, Summer, Harper and Hari. Special thank you to the wonderful care at Waihi Lodge. GIBBS, Leah:
Aged 43 years young
Leah passed away peacefully and surrounded with so much love. Much loved and devoted wife of Chris, and adored mummy of Eden. Cherished and loved daughter of Alison and Mike Harvey, and Bob Brookland. Dearly loved sister of Ange Brookland. Loved daughter-in-law of Trish and the late John Gibbs and sister-in-law of Nick. Much loved aunty of Corbyn, Maia, Harry, and Arlo Fletcher and their partners, and of Milla Gibbs. Leah had the kindest heart and a gentle, caring soul, bringing warmth and light to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Leah will be deeply loved and forever missed. Always held close in our hearts. Special thanks to all the caring staff at Hospice Southland. You are all amazing. A service to celebrate Leah's life will be held in the Ascot Park Hotel on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 1.00pm. Passed away peacefully at Ascot Care Home with her loving family by her side. Dearly loved wife and soulmate of the late Ivar Charles Hagan, His "Leader". Much loved Mum and June of Catherine and Paul Burke, Susan and Lindsay O'Brien, Stephanie and Dave Gridgeman, Raewyn and James Wharerau, and Megan and Richard Houghton. PHILLIPS, Stephen:
Passed away 2nd March 2026. Stephen's sisters Gaynor, Maureen and Rochelle sincerely thank everyone who sent cards, made phone calls, gave food, which was a great comfort to us. Thank you to all who attended the funeral, some coming from great distances to be with us. Thanks to Nigel and his Avenal Park staff for conducting the funeral and making it a fit celebration of Stephen's life. Heartfelt thanks to the Invercargill Rock n Roll Club for their special guard of honour. It was a lovely tribute to Stephen - the Club was a big part of his life.
