DALZELL, Cory:
Passed away peacefully at home in Waimārama, Hawke's Bay, on Saturday, January 10, 2026; aged 36 years. Dearly loved son of Mark and Karen, much loved brother and brother-in-law of Matt and Ruby, beloved fiancé of Helena, and fur children Poppy, and Aspen, a treasured nephew, cousin, uncle of Sienna, and friend to many. Cory will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his kindness, intelligence, loyalty, and the impact he had on all those around him. A Service to celebrate Cory's life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, Dunedin, at 2.00pm on Monday, January 19. Peacefully, surrounded by family at Maniototo Hospital, on Monday, January 12, 2026, in her 97th year. Dearly loved wife of *Ian Walter George Davis, Mum, Nana, Grandma and great-Nana of Don and Liz, Jason and Natasha, Cohen and Ayden; Megan and Simon Webb, Issac, Alyssa and Levi, Glen; Geoff, Lois, Rhonda and Darryl Pringle, Mason and Harvey, Vicky and Strahan McCallum, Harry, Max and Janelle; Trevor and Jo, Anita and Tony Jewell, Baden and Bevan; Carol and Karl, Antonia, John; *Allan and Joy, Gareth, Vicki, Laura, Emma and Kate; Sarah and Ross, Laurie and Susan, Sophie, Harley and Miya, Hannah and Shaydon; *Rodney and Gabrielle; Fiona and Michael Leith, Donna and Dave Lindqvist, Jack and Briar; Natalie and Sean, Everett and Fletcher, Rebecca and Tom Caley and Reuben. A service to celebrate Nica's life will be held in the Gimmerburn Hall, 1312 Waipiata Gimmerburn Road, on Saturday, January 17, at 1.30pm, refreshments after the service, followed by interment at the Gimmerburn Cemetery, all welcome. GEDDES, John:
Passed away peacefully at Christchurch Hospital, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, aged 79 years. Much loved husband of Christine for 52 years. Dearly loved brother of Bernie and the late Mark. Loved brother-in-law to Janis (Nelson), Kylie and Rick Molloy (Gold Coast), Mary Reynold and the late Colin, and the late Richard. A respected Uncle to his nieces and nephews. LOVE, Adam Falconer:
Peacefully passed away surrounded by family, at Hospice Southland, on Thursday 8th January 2026. Aged 91 years. Beloved husband of Jean. Proud father of Robert, Kenneth, and Jackie and father-in-law of Jonni, and the late Les. Loved Grandad of Sarah, Robert, Katie, and Hamish and Great Grandad of Konner and Jackson. Loving uncle of Scott. Grateful thanks to the Medical staff, Kew Hospital and Hospice Southland for their excellent care of Adam. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Southland would be appreciated and maybe left at the service. SADLIER, Janice Margaret:
Peacefully on Tuesday 13 January 2026, aged 86 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Ron. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Alan and Glenda, Neil and Linda, Lyn and Dave Barlow (Christchurch), Barry and Annie (Auckland). Dearly loved grandmother and great- grandmother of Mark and Hannah, and Manaaki (Christchurch); Bryan and Skye, Indie, Ellie, and Sophie (Whangarei); Emily and Caleb, and Sarah Barlow (Christchurch); and Katie and James (Auckland). Loved sister-in-law of Joy and Clive Thompson, Rose Silke, and Gordon Smith. Special thanks to the staff at Clare House for their care of Janice. A service to celebrate Janice’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill on Saturday 17 January at 10:00am.
