EARL, Maxwell John (Jack):
On Saturday March 28th 2026 peacefully passed away at Peacehaven Iona Dementia Unit. Beloved husband of Janet for 62 years. Much loved father and father-in-law of Michael and Nix, Jason, and Craig. Grandfather of Shan* and Zac, Great-grandfather of Saphira and Ruby Rose. Loved son of Florence* and Frank* Earl. Loved brother and brother in law of Mary* and Herb*, Fay, Jill* and Noel*, Deidre and Colin*, Mervyn* and Cheryl, May and Lex, Lynette* and Basil*. Very much loved uncle and great-uncle. Respected life member of the Old Boys Rugby Club (Pirates Old Boys). A service to celebrate Jack's life will be held in J Fraser and Sons Chapel, cnr Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill on Thursday 2nd April at 10am, followed by private cremation. Sincere and grateful thanks to staff at Southland Hospital ED and Surgical wards, and the staff at Iona, Peacehaven, for your love, care and attention. HOFFMAN, Margaret Joy (nee Broad):
Passed away on Monday, 30th March 2026 in the loving care of
Rowena Jackson Retirement Village, aged 95 years. Loved wife of the
late William James Hoffman (Will). Loved mother & mother-in-law of
Grant and Jackie (Nelson). Grandmother to Tim and Sarah and great-
grandmother to Dominic (San Francisco). Loved Grandma of Gabrielle
and Scott, and GG to Ada and Max (Melbourne). Sister of the late Ima
Kerr and Betty Smith. Sister of Russell Broad and Bruce Broad. Sister-
in-law of Frances Ryman. Aunt to countless nieces and nephews. A
service to celebrate Margaret's life will be held at St Stephen's
Presbyterian Church, Waikiwi, TODAY, Wednesday, 1st April at
2:00pm. Due to road works in Waikiwi, please note parking behind

HUNTER, Robert (Bert):
Our loved Bert peacefully passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family on Monday 30th March 2026, in his 83rd year. Cherished husband and best friend of Averil for 67 years. Dearly loved father and father in law of Steph and Robin, Keri and Murray, Kenneth, Ashley and Sasha. Adored Grandad Bert of Justin and Paris, Reegan; Brayden and Monique, Ryan and Alice, Shannen and Shaun, Karley and Jeremy; Keryn, Jaydon, and Logan; Jackson, McKenzie and Ruby, and Sienna. Loved Great Grandad Bertie of Oliver, Jack, Georgia, Becca, Amelia, Millie, Oakley, Macklin, Iylee and Lacey. Brother in law of Allan and Joy. McCammon, Margaret:
Suddenly, on Sunday, March 29, 2026; aged 88 years. Dearly loved wife and best friend of Brian*, loved mother of Ross and Sheryl, Julie and Geoff Crosswell, Rowan and Georgina (Australia), loved Grandma of Rhys and Billie, Tess and Pedro, Jed and Becs, Chas and Brooke, Michael and Jacinta and Richard, great-grandmother to Frankie and Mila, sister of Graeme and Val*, and Bill* and Jean*, sister-in-law of Ann and Doug*, Alison and Des*. A private (family) cremation to be held on Wednesday, April 8, with a memorial service to celebrate Margaret's life held on Saturday, April 11. Peacefully at Southland Hospital on 28 March 2026 . Aged 62. Dearly loved partner of Donna. A much loved father of Phillip, Shannon, Danny, Jillz, Kerry, Shaydon, and Shayna.
