It was a lucky Wednesday night for Lotto players across the country, with more than two dozen New Zealanders picking up big prizes in the latest draw.

Twenty-one Lotto players each won $13,900 with Second Division. Among the winners was a ticket bought at Collingwood Foodcentre in Invercargill.

One of those Second Division winners also had the correct Powerball number, taking their total prize to $34,028. That winning ticket was sold at Ruakaka Lotto Post & Gift Shop in Ruakaka.

The big prize of the night came from Lotto First Division. Three players each won $333,333, splitting the $1 million jackpot. The winning tickets were purchased at Paper Power Thames, New World Blenheim, and through MyLotto by a player in Upper Hutt.

Powerball was not struck in Wednesday’s draw and will now roll over to Saturday night. The jackpot has climbed to $20 million, creating plenty of excitement for the weekend.

Strike Four also rolled over and will sit at $400,000 on Saturday.

Lotto NZ is encouraging everyone who purchased a ticket from any of the winning stores, or through MyLotto, to check their numbers either in-store, on the MyLotto website, or via the app.
