Today’s Invercargill weather is brought to you by Petsmart, on the corner of Deveron & Spey Streets — pop in for all your pet needs.
Monday 21 September looks like a classic spring switch: MetService has a high of 18° and a low of 3°. Around 7:30am it was about 10° at Invercargill Airport with a northerly around 24 km/h. The day starts fine, then rain arrives from late afternoon — briefly heavy — before turning to showers this evening as northerlies give way to strong westerlies.
Tuesday cools down. Expect a high near 10° and a low around 3°, with showers developing in the morning and westerlies becoming strong for a time in the afternoon. Plan outdoor jobs for the drier windows and keep a layer handy.
Looking further ahead: Wednesday should see showers clearing to partly cloudy in the afternoon (about 11°/4°). Thursday brings a few showers, mainly from the afternoon (13°/4°). Friday looks the friendliest stretch of the working week — a few showers clearing to fine with light winds (14°/4°). The weekend turns wetter again: Saturday risks rain with heavy falls (16°/4°), and Sunday stays rainy with southwesterlies (around 10°/3°).
Stay dry, Invers.
