Jim’s Laundry Services has come to Southland for the first time, specialising in small businesses such as physiotherapies and private accommodation.
Swapnal offers a quick turnaround same day service to business owners, filling a much needed gap in the industry.
Two years ago he opened the self-service laundrymat in Centre Street, but always planned to add on a pickup service as well.
The franchise manager for Jim’s Laundry Services could see that Swapnal’s local knowledge over two years was a good fit for the company, and it was also a good way for him to get his name out there.
Jim’s Laundry Services first started in Australia and moved into New Zealand about a year ago, now with around 10 franchises around the country.
Swapnal said the 2-3 other big laundry companies in the south focused on the hotel/motel accommodation sector, but his business would focus on the smaller end of the industry.
“It’s what the city needs,” he said.
