- Invercargill’s Ascot Four Square sold one of the winning tickets, adding to a lucky streak
- June saw a $15 million Powerball prize and multiple Second Division wins in Southland
Invercargill’s Lotto luck has shown no signs of slowing down, with one of nine winning Second Division tickets in Saturday night’s draw sold at Ascot Four Square. Each winner will take home $30,774.
This win follows a remarkable run for Invercargill and the wider Southland region. June proved especially lucky, with the area claiming several major prizes, including a massive $15 million Powerball win.
That jackpot win was one of the standout moments last month, but it didn’t stop there. The region also saw a string of Second Division successes, including a $13,000 prize picked up in another Invercargill draw.
Retailers in the city, particularly Ascot Four Square, have become regular sources of winning tickets, reinforcing Southland’s growing reputation as one of the country’s luckiest Lotto regions.
Lotto NZ is urging all players to check their tickets, which can be done in-store, online, or through the MyLotto app. Prizes can also be claimed using these same channels.
