It will be a night to remember for four lucky Lotto players from Auckland, Hastings and Dunedin after each winning $250,000 with Lotto First Division in tonight’s live draw. The winning tickets were sold at New World Papakura in Auckland, New World Hastings in Hastings, and on MyLotto to players from Auckland and Dunedin.

Powerball was not struck this evening and has rolled over to Saturday night, where the jackpot will be $5 million.

Meanwhile, Strike Four has also rolled over and will be $400,000 on Saturday night.

Nine lucky Lotto players will be celebrating a midweek windfall after each winning $23,690 with Lotto Second Division in tonight’s draw. One of those players also won Powerball Second Division, boosting their total prize to $35,488 — including one ticket bought in Invercargill via the MyLotto app.

Invercargill and Southland’s Lotto luck continues after the big $15 million win on Saturday, 21st June when two lucky Powerball players from Invercargill and Wellington scored $15.08 million each. The winning tickets were sold at Plaza Supervalue in Invercargill and via MyLotto to a Wellington player.

Each prize included $15 million from Powerball First Division, plus $83,333 from Lotto First Division.

That win followed a strong showing for the South the previous Saturday, 14th June, when Invercargill and Southland players picked up 11 of the 28 winning Second Division tickets. Each ticket won $13,779, bringing a combined total of more than $151,000 in winnings for southern players.

One ticket was bought in-store at Whitcoulls Invercargill, while the remaining ten were purchased through the MyLotto app by players across Southland.

The rest of the 28 Second Division prizes were spread around the country, but no region matched the concentration of wins seen in the South.

These two new millionaires are the tenth and eleventh Powerball winners of 2025. Their wins come just over a month after a Porirua woman claimed $17.2 million and shared plans to help her family with the money.
