Each prize included $15 million from Powerball First Division, plus $83,333 from Lotto First Division.
That win followed a strong showing for the South the previous Saturday, 14th June, when Invercargill and Southland players picked up 11 of the 28 winning Second Division tickets. Each ticket won $13,779, bringing a combined total of more than $151,000 in winnings for southern players.
One ticket was bought in-store at Whitcoulls Invercargill, while the remaining ten were purchased through the MyLotto app by players across Southland.
The rest of the 28 Second Division prizes were spread around the country, but no region matched the concentration of wins seen in the South.
