Man Charged Over Clutha Woman’s Death

Police have charged a man with murder following the death of a woman in Crichton, Clutha, on Friday 23 January.

Emergency services were called to Adams Flats Road at around 6.10pm. A woman was found dead at the scene, and a second person was critically injured.

Following a bedside court hearing earlier today, a man has now been formally charged with murder.

Detective Senior Sergeant Nik Leigh said, “We understand this is a distressing event for the small community.”

He added, “Police would like to reassure residents that officers are not searching for any other people in relation to the matter.”
