No Ground Operations Needed At Centre Hill Fireground

Centre Hill Update 7pm
Good news from the Centre Hill fireground. As the photo shows, an aerial inspection this afternoon has found no signs of smoke, which means that no ground operations will be needed.

In total, the fire affected 130 hectares of high country grazing and public conservation land.

Checks have also confirmed that Sunday's firefighting efforts successfully protected the two cell towers on the top of Centre Hill.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. We won't be able to update on the findings until the report has been completed.
