Serious Crash closes SH93Highway Between Mataura Clinton

State Highway 93 is closed between Mataura and Clinton after a serious crash this morning.

Police were called to the single-vehicle crash on SH93 at its intersection with Cameron Road, near Old Coach Road, at about 7.55am. One person is reported to have sustained critical injuries.

Emergency services are at the scene. One lane on Old Coach Road is blocked.

The Serious Crash Unit has been advised, which signals investigators expect to be on site for some time.

Drivers travelling between Gore and Clinton should avoid the area and find an alternative route. Delays are expected.
