Two Lotto players from Wellington and Canterbury have each taken home $500,000 after winning Lotto First Division in Saturday night’s live draw. Both tickets were purchased through MyLotto.

The Powerball jackpot was not won and has now rolled over to $17 million for Wednesday night’s draw, giving players another chance at a life-changing prize.

In the Strike Must Be Won draw, the $1.5 million jackpot was shared among three players, who each won $500,000. The winning tickets were sold at Musselburgh Food Centre in Dunedin and via MyLotto to players in Auckland and Upper Hutt.

Lotto Second Division also delivered a boost to 21 lucky players, each taking home $16,130. Four of these winners also had Powerball Second Division tickets, increasing their total prize to $21,972. These tickets were sold at Waimauku Minimart, Woolworths Three Kings in Auckland, Four Square Praters in Taupō, and through MyLotto to a Marlborough player.

Southland delivered an impressive in Lotto NZ’s Triple Dip Mother’s Day

Southland delivered an impressive showing in Lotto NZ’s Triple Dip Mother’s Day draw on Saturday night, with 50 players nationwide each winning $20,000. Winners came from 38 different locations across New Zealand, and Southland contributed four of those prizes—two in Invercargill and two elsewhere in the region—accounting for 8% of the total.

Auckland City led the pack with five winners (10%), while Gisborne and Wellington each had three (6%). Christchurch, the wider Canterbury area and Otago posted two winners apiece (4%), putting Southland firmly in second place behind Auckland City and ahead of most other regions.
