The SBS Bank Southland Stags have confirmed their lineup to face Bay of Plenty in Thursday night’s National Provincial Championship fixture in Rotorua.
The squad, named by co-coaches James Wilson and Nathan White, will be led by captain Sean Withy. The Stags are aiming to build momentum as they travel north to Rotorua International Stadium for a challenging clash against a strong Bay of Plenty side.
The match is set to kick off at 7.10pm, and the team has been selected with a mix of experience and fresh energy. In the front row, Morgan Mitchell, Jack Taylor and Hunter Fahey have been given the start, while Mitch Dunshea and Alefosio Aho make up the locking pair. The loose forward trio includes captain Withy, Nathan Va'atausili, and Semisi Tupou Ta'eiloa.
Nic Shearer will start at halfback alongside first five Mika Muliaina. The midfield combination features Faletoi Peni and Scott Gregory, with Fletcher Morgan, Tayne Harvey, and Michael Manson completing the back three.
The bench features a solid mix of options, including Nic Souchon, Joe Walsh, Paula Latu, Alex Yallop, George Reeves, Connor McLeod, Byron Smith and Brad Kooman.
