• Tribute band The Dead Circus prepares for a five-city national tour in New Zealand
• Former members of The Dwellers and The Easy Hearts lead the high-energy STP tribute
• Fans can expect a full set of classic Stone Temple Pilots hits performed live on stage

The Dead Circus, a top-tier Stone Temple Pilots tribute act, is hitting the road again for a nationwide tour after a string of sold-out shows across New Zealand in 2023, 2024 and 2025.

With shows lined up in Dunedin, Wellington, Auckland, Christchurch and Invercargill, the band is promising to deliver another round of high-octane performances that pay faithful tribute to one of the most influential rock bands of the 1990s.

The Dead Circus is made up of seasoned Kiwi musicians who share a deep respect for the grunge legends. Bassist Cam Campbell and guitarist Brendan Yates, formerly of '90s rock trio The Dwellers, have shared stages with Jimmy Barnes and Crowded House. Vocalist Jason Bird and drummer Seb Warren, both previously with Christchurch band The Easy Hearts, complete the powerful line-up.

Their live sets feature a well-curated collection of STP’s most iconic tracks. Fans can expect all the big hits including Plush, Creep, Sex Type Thing and Interstate Love Song. Every song is delivered with energy, precision and a passion that recreates the spirit of STP's original sound.

The band formed through a shared love of 1990s rock and has built a loyal following through their commitment to delivering authentic tribute performances. Their gigs are more than just concerts—they're a nostalgic trip back to the grunge era, offering something special for long-time fans and new listeners alike.

Invercargill fans will be able to catch The Dead Circus live at the Southland Musicians Club on Friday, 12 September.
