It is with heavy hearts that Dawn passed away peacefully at the Arvida Care Centre, on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, aged 85 years. Dearly loved wife of Fred and devoted friend of John Washington, loved mother and mother-in-law of Julie, David, Paul and Wendy (Australia), Maria and Brent Scammell (Winton). Adored Gran of Brodie and Kelsey, Jaimee and Tim, and Shaun; Mitchell and Jess, and Jacob. Great - Grandma of Lincoln, Neela, Bodhi, and Molly.

Requiem Mass to celebrate the life of Dawn will be held in St Joseph’s Catholic Church, on Tuesday, 5 August, at 1:00pm, followed by light refreshments at the Queenstown Country Club, Club House, 420 Frankton Ladies Mile Highway. A graveside service will be held in the Waikaia Cemetery, on Wednesday, 6 August, at 2:00pm, followed by afternoon tea in the Waikaia Hotel. Peacefully at Hospice Southland. Dearly loved husband of Sharyn, and treasured Dad of Jayson (Japan). Cherished son of the late Poppy and Alec Mackie. Loved brother of Lex and Ann Mackie, Fay, and the late Armand Wilcox. As Dennis wished, a private cremation has taken place. Heartfelt thanks to those who have walked this journey with us. Passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 31 at Rowena Jackson. Dearly loved husband of Margaret*. Loved father of William* and Michelle, Trevor and Nicci, Roger and Rebecca.
