Passed peacefully on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at Hospice Southland.
Mother and mother-in-law of Danny and Cheryl, Noel and Kim, Shane and Lee-Ann, Rhys and Sandra, Kat and Jay.
Loved Nana of Nikki, Nathan, Shae, Josh, Nikkole, Jackson, Danni, Kayla, Tyler, Chelsea, and Vincent.
Proud Great-Nan of Madison, Dylan, Tane, Blake, Mia, Dominic, Seth, Kade, Kailyn, Alish, Atlas, and Ledger.
The family sincerely thank the staff at Cargill Court, the Medical Ward at Southland Hospital, and Hospice Southland for their care of Anita in her final days. Passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, at Southland Hospital on 6th August. Much loved father and father-in-law of Shane and Kiri; Stacey and Shanan; Aaron and Carolina; Kelly and Andrew. Loved Pop of Terina, Iraia, Chelsea, Lee, Myles, Phoenix, Hendrix, Ryan, Connor, Wyatt, and Jack; and loved great-grandad of Jakaia. Loved son of the late Alison and Bryan; loved brother and brother-in-law of David and Nanette, Stephen and Roslyn, Janet and Rodney, Neil and the late Cheryl, Sally, and Gabe and the late Kerryn. Passed away peacefully on Sunday August 10, 2025, in the care of Gore Hospital, surrounded by her loving family; in her 90th year. Dearly loved wife, friend and partner of the late Ray, loved and respected mother and mother-in-law of Theresa Davidson, the late Edward, Helen and Dwayne Wright, Gerard and Cindy, Angela and Kirk Pilgrim (Australia), Chris and Caroline, Mary Shanks, Bridget and Craig Brown, loved Nana of her 29 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren. A Rosary will be held at Barbara’s home on Wednesday August 13, at 6.30pm. A Requiem Mass to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Ardwick Street, Gore on Thursday August 14, at 2.00 pm, then leaving for Charlton Park cemetery. Passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday 10 August 2025 at Hospice Southland, aged 95 years. Beloved wife of George*. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Elizabeth and Craig Stoneman, David and Wendy, and Robert. Cherished grandmother of Sarah and Angus Morrison, Lucy and Ioane Leti, Claire Stoneman and Matt Burgess; Karlee and Damien Bath, Matthew and Glenda; Raven, Conor, and Amy. Loved great-grandmother of William, Abigail, Hamish, Elsie; Byron, and Harper; Ava and Liam; Lola, and Chase; Harrison; Sophia, and Iyla. Much loved sister and sister-in-law of Russell*, Roger* and Hazel. A service to celebrate Joan's life will be held in First Presbyterian Church, 155 Tay Street, Invercargill on Friday 15 August at 11am followed by interment at Eastern Cemetery. It is with deep sadness that we share with you the passing of our beloved and treasured Chris. Dearly loved and respected Father of Ben and Gus. Precious and dear Chris of Hildamae. Much loved and adored son of Ben and Inge Wilmot and sister of Alexandra, and special uncle of Emma. Loved and respected friend of Ann Turrall (England). Beloved nephew of Jill and cousins Richard, Simon*, Phillipa and Ann (Australia), cherished and dearest cousin of Rudi, Gisela and Bernd (Germany), John, David, Robert, Linden, Jonathan and David (England).

A memorial service to celebrate Chris’s life will be held at Windsor Community Church, Invercargill, Saturday 16th August at 1pm.
