BLOMFIELD, Stephen John “Steve”:
19.05.1937 – 18.08.2025
Steve died peacefully at home in his sleep on August 18, 2025, aged 88 years. Beloved and precious husband of Deborah (Debs) for 40 years. Much loved father and father-in-law of Michael and Monique, Julie and Simon Hart, and Matthew, and Pop of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Loved brother-in-law of Davina and Michael Blakie, Bronwyn Hansen, Angela Hansen and Barrie Hosgood, and Matthew Hansen. Good friend of Glennys Hansen (deceased) and William Boniface. At Steve’s request, a private cremation was held. Steve is now at peace, gone home to be with the Lord, forever with our saviour Jesus. Grateful thanks to First Responders and Hato Hone St John for their care of Steve. Messages to 32 King Street, Invercargill.

COMERFORD, Heather Agnes (nee Stuart):

Heather passed away peacefully at Vickery Court Rest Home, Invercargill with family by her side. Loved wife of Andrew*. Loved Mother, Mother-in-law, Nana and Great Nana of Dean* and Tania (Hervey Bay, Australia); Amelia; Sam and Grace (Sydney, Australia). Nigel and Dawn (India); Courtney and Courtney; and Lauren (Perth, Australia). Karyn and Rob Leach, Morgan; Natalie; Rebecca, Jessica and Nathan (Christchurch). Proud Great Grandmother. Friend of William. Many thanks to the staff of Hospice Southland and Vickery Court for their loving care of Heather. (*Denotes deceased). GRAY, Alexander William (Alex):
Passed away peacefully in the presence of his family, at Southland Hospital, Invercargill on Saturday 23rd August 2025. In his 93rd year. Beloved husband of the late Beth (nee Wishart). Much loved Dad of Wayne and the late Denise, Sue and Allan Frisby, and Robyn and Brian Haldane. Loved Gramp’s of Sharleen and Kylie, Rochelle and Nolan, Robert and Lauren, Morgan and Dale, Jenna and Jordan, Brandon and Zara, and Matthew. Loved Old Gramp’s of Brock, Cruz, Jack, Blake, Jonty Zara, Keegan, Isla, Payton, Addison, Tayla, Mason, Liam, and Jack. A dearly loved brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend to many. A service to celebrate Alex’s life will be held in J Fraser & Sons Chapel, cnr Esk & Doon Streets, Invercargill, on Friday 29th August at 1.30pm. Followed by interment at Wallacetown Cemetery.
