Much loved husband of the late Janine, adored and loved Dad and father-in-law of Lance and Trish (Wellington), Geoff and Kim (Queensland), Kerry and Greg Crawford (Gore); cherished Pop to Troy, Hayley; Liam, Sophie; Nathanael, Oliver, Amy; and their partners; and treasured Great Pop to his eleven great grandchildren. A loved member of family in the UK, and his twin brother Lewis. David enjoyed a full and active life, with a long involvement in Scouting, and the Gore Pakeke Lions. The family would like to sincerely thank Resthaven Village for their exceptional care of Dad, along with all the medical staff involved in his care at Gore Medical Centre, Gore and Southland hospitals, and from the District Nursing team. Deep gratitude also goes to the Access care workers who supported David so well while he remained at home. A special thank you to all those that we cannot mention by name, who have cared, visited and been part of his life. A memorial service to celebrate David’s life will be held in the near future, with details to follow.
