Passed away peacefully at Vickery Court, Invercargill on Thursday May 8, 2025. Aged 87 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Annesley Evans. Much loved daughter and daughter-in-law of the late Doris and Robert Parker, and Henry and Ella Evans. Beloved sister and sister-in-law of Eleanor and the late Walter Humphries. Cherished aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend. Special thanks to the staff of Vickery Court for their care of Dorothy. A service to celebrate Dorothy’s life will be held in J Fraser and Sons Chapel, cnr. Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill, at 10.30am, on Wednesday May 14. Then leaving for the Eastern Cemetery. MINTY, Anne Christeen (neé Jennings):
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Anne, on Monday 5 May 2025, at Rowena Jackson Invercargill. Dearly loved wife of Peter. Loved and adored mother and mother-in-law of Bronwyn and Haden, William and Emily, and Hamish. A much-loved Nan of Lachlan, and Lily; Eva-Rose, Billy, and Jimmy. Loved and respected sister, sister-in- law and aunt to her nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the staff of Rowena Jackson Rest Home for their care and support of Anne over the last three weeks. A service to celebrate Anne’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill on Tuesday 13 May at 1:00pm. SMITH, Maureen Audrey, (nee Hanley):
It is with great sadness that we advise of Maureen’s sudden passing on Saturday, 10th May 2025. She fought a brave battle with her dementia, but did not let it get her. She passed with overwhelming love and dignity, with her family by her side. Aged 73 years young. Loved and cherished wife of Warren for the past 53 years. Dearly loved sister and sister-in-law of Neville and Heather Hanley, Judy and the late John Whipps, Sharron Hanley and David, Patricia and the late Charlie Quinn, Bryan and Linda Smith, Marilyn and Ross Simons. The coolest Aunt and Aunty M to all her nieces and nephews. Maureen will be resting in her office at Macdonald & Weston Funeral Home. At Maureen’s request flowers will be very welcomed when calling. Maureen’s service will be held in the Lindisfarne Methodist Church on Friday 16th May 2025 at 11am following with an interment at Eastern Cemetery.
