Passed away peacefully on his 60th birthday, on Saturday 30th August, at Hospice Southland, surrounded by his loved ones. Loved husband of Jodie. Son of Shona and the late Neville. Dad of Ruby. Brother of Eugene and Stefan. A beloved family member of the extended Fraser and Sutherland clan. A friend to so many. His whanau would like to invite anyone wishing to send him off, to join them at the Miller Street Marist Rugby club rooms, Thursday 4th September, 4pm. LINDSAY, Ruby (née Marshall):
Peacefully at Bupa Ascot Care Home, on the 30th August 2025; aged 93 years. Cherished wife of the late Eric. Much loved and respected mother of John and Beth Lindsay (Winton), Nicky Lindsay (Invercargill), Helen and Allan McLean (Tuatapere). Dearly loved Nana of Adam, Lara, Stacey, and Logan. Loving Great-Nana of Charlie, Esmè, Kayden, Nikayla, Reign, Lucas, Rebecca, and Zoey. As per Ruby’s wishes a private family service will be held.
MOIR, Wayne Robert:
24 March 1961 – 28 August 2025
Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at home. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Tania and Nick, Carl and Kelly, Russell and Tash, Emily, Hana and Te Mana.
Loved Grandad of his 13 grandchildren. Much loved brother, brother-in-law, and uncle. A massive thank you to Southland Hospice and the Southland District Nurses for the wonderful care they gave Wayne in his final days.
Rest easy Wayne. You will be dearly missed, always loved, and never forgotten.
Wayne’s service will be held at the Waiau Town and Country Club, Tuatapere, on Tuesday, 2 September 2025, at 2.00 pm.
SHIRLEY, Patricia Kay, (Patsy) (nee Johnstone) (of Lumsden):
Peacefully, surrounded by her family at Southland Hospital, on Friday, August 29, 2025, aged 78 years. Dearly loved wife of Nigel, treasured Mum and mother-in-law of Karen and Rob, Troy and Sally, Megan and Ryan, loved Nan of Mason and Ranel, Marcia and Trent, Candace and Jared, Tristan, Braedyn and Brock; Kaylee, Blake; Jonty, Jacob, Alex, Jesse; and cherished Great Nan to Lukah, Frankie, and Archie. Beloved sister and sister-in-law of the late Wayne and Bronwyn Johnstone (Dunedin), David and Debbie Johnstone (Australia). A celebration of Patsy's life will be held at the Lumsden Memorial Hall, 8 Meadow Street, on Saturday, September 6, at 1.00pm followed by a private burial. Heartfelt thanks to all the Access Caregivers, staff at Lumsden Medical Centre, and staff of Kew Hospital for their special care of Mum over recent times. Messages to: 85 Forest Street, Lumsden 9730.
