On September 5, 2025, at the Otago Community Hospice after a courageous battle. Aged 84 years. Dearly loved husband of Pat. Much loved father-and-father-in-law of Michael and Lee-Ann, Paul, Debbie and Terry, Steven* and Claire, Janine and Robbie, Tania and John. In lieu of flowers donations to the Otago Community Hospice would be appreciated and left at the service.
Special thanks to all the medical services who cared for Hecky during his illness. Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St Mary's Parish Church, 89 Church Street, Mosgiel, at 1.00pm, on Wednesday, September 10, followed by private cremation. RANDALL, Owen:
On Friday, September 5, 2025, peacefully at home with family at his side, aged 78 years. Much loved husband of Sheryl, and the late Margaret, loved father and father-in-law of Kelly and Grant, Kate and Dean, Guy and Michelle, loved stepfather and stepfather-in-law of Greig and Amelia, Angela and Carl. Adored Pop of Hannah, and Charlotte; Willem, Maddy, and Fred; Milla, and Ava, Ruby, Poppy, Isaiah, and Sylvie; Caleb, and Elise. SHAND, Lesley Fay (née Hughes):
Passed away on Thursday, 4th September 2025, in the care of Dunedin Hospital. Dearly loved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Lesley is survived by her loving husband John Peter Shand; her children, Natalie, Jeanine, John, and Ingrid; grandchildren, Tim, Michael, Beky, Kelly, Jessica, and Stacy, and great grandchildren, Elijah, James, and Ivy. A funeral service to celebrate Lesley’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill, on Friday, September 12, at 2.00pm.
