Special Grandma/Gma of Hannah and Andrew, Taylor and Gareth, Ben and Claire, Sophie and Simon, Samantha, Kate, Stella, Indiana, Mikayla, and Rayne. STANTON, Shirley Ann (née Solomon), formerly Wilmshurst:
88, of Invercargill, passed away peacefully with family on Thursday, April 24. Born in Timaru, November 17, 1936, to Joyce & Abiatha "Dreamy" Solomon, Shirley was a stalwart of Southland Netball & a dedicated Special Needs Educator. Loving wife of the late Lex Wilmshurst & James Stanton. Shirley is survived by her children: Peter, Maree, David, Steven & Alan; much loved & cared for: John Finn, Paul, Boyd, Jayne & Imogene; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also survived by siblings: Alan, Lindsay, Sharon, Donna & John, predeceased by Maurice & Terrill. A memorial service will be held at Frasers Funeral Directors, cnr Esk & Doon Sts, Invercargill, Thursday, May 1, at 11:00 am, followed by burial at Gore Charlton Cemetery. WATT, Telford Leith:
02.12.1954 - 26.04.2025. Telford passed away in the early hours of Saturday morning at Rowena Jackson with his family by his side. Dearly loved husband of 39 years of Jane. Loved father and father-in-law of the late Ben, Tim and Tessa, Phillipa, Simon and Lee. Treasured son of the late Effie and Ben Watt and brother and brother-in-law of Daphne and Bill Lee (Dunedin); James and Gillian Watt (Bannockburn), June and Mark Dean (Bannockburn) and the late Elizabeth, and Eric. Sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Telford's life will be held on Friday, 2 May at 11am ,Winton Presbyterian Church, Meldrum Street , Winton.
