On Thursday, March 6, 2025, unexpectedly, but peacefully, at Christchurch Hospital ICU, aged 73 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Ngaire, precious brother and brother-in- law of Sue and Grant and the late John, Anne, John (deceased) and Karen, David, Gillian, and their families in New Zealand and the United Kingdom, stepfather of Garth, and Brendan, loved and respected uncle, colleague, neighbour, and friend to many. Immense thanks to Ros, and the South ICU team for their compassion, advocacy, and commitment in the care of Nigel and his family. 23/11/1958 - 07/03/2025. Dianne passed away peacefully at Vickery Court Resthome on Friday 7th March 2025 holding hands with David and Matthew. Loved wife of David Gray. Loved mum and mother-in-law of Matthew, Jonathan and Anita, Lydia, Hannah and Caz. Loved grandma of Angus. Loved daughter of the late Marshall and Mavis Thomson and sister of Jennifer, Lynette and Brian*. A service to celebrate Dianne’s life will be held at Windsor Community Church, 19 Windsor Street, Invercargill on Wednesday 12th March at 1pm. This will be followed by afternoon tea and a private burial at the Eastern Cemetery. On March 8, 2025, at Windsor Park Care Home, Gore with loving family at her side; aged 93 years. Adored wife of Sam*, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Catherine and Brian* Borthwick, Susan and Barry Stevenson, Fiona and Peter Hayward, Lynda and Tony Oliver, cherished Nana of Jeremy, and Aaron Borthwick; Jamie, and Gemma Stevenson; Nathan, and Ben Hayward; loved Nana Gibbon of all her great and great-great grandchildren, and a dear special friend of Chris Dillon.(*denotes deceased). A service to celebrate Glady’s life will be held on Thursday March 13, 2025 at 1.30pm in the Gore RSA Function Lounge, 12 Bowler Ave, followed by a private cremation.
