HARRINGTON, Frances Mary (née Plunkett):
Passed away peacefully in her sleep at Vickery Court, Invercargill, on Saturday, 16th August 2025, aged 83 years. Beloved wife of Wally. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Raymond and Vickey (Twizel), Tony and Chandra (Winton), Derek and Justine (Brisbane), Andrew and Mary (Te Anau). Treasured grandmother of Matthew and Danielle, Ryan and Mikie; Leon, the late Sage, and Lara; Luke, Caleb, Josh, Holly, and Josh, Blake; Alyssa, Max, Jessica, and Andrew. Adored great-grandmother of Charlie, Hugo, Ruby, Alexia, and Bjorn. A dear sister, sister-in-law, and aunt to her nieces and nephews.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at Vickery Court for their loving care of Frances.
A service to celebrate Frances will be held at the Lakeside Presbyterian Church, 112 Te Anau Terrace, Te Anau, on Friday, 22nd August 2025 at 1:00 PM, followed by burial at Lynwood Cemetery. Peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday 14th August 2025, aged 70. Loved wife of Barry. Loved Mother to Rebecca, Chris, Melissa, and Katie. Loving grandmother to her 5 grandchildren. A celebration of Lyn’s life, for family and friends, will be held at St Patricks Church at 1pm on Friday 22nd August 2025. Unexpectedly left us on the 18 August 2025. Dearly loved wife of Bruce Reid for 51 years. Devoted Nana of Tia, Ella, Erina, Ben, Louise, Mya, Jarred, Josh, Andre, and Eli. Proud GG of Cruz and Finlay. It is with heavy hearts that we inform you of Mum’s passing, and find comfort in knowing she has reunited with Dad, her soul-mate Ian Shaw. On Saturday 16 August 2025 peacefully in the care of Bupa Ascot Park, while surrounded by her loving family. A devoted carer to many, but most of all to her family and the community of Riverton. Loving Mother and Mother in-law to Elizabeth (Liz) and Stewart Somerville, (Invercargill), Douglas (Riverton), Alastair and Lynda (Ashburton), and Rodney and Shelley (Isla Bank). Adored Gran of Shannon*; Shaun and Shortell; Bradley; Cameron; Blake; Holly & Great Gran of Braxton and Layla. Cherished daughter of Rose* and Reuben* Allen. Treasured sister and sister in-law Stewart* and Jocelyn; Rosalie and Gordon Pope; and Isabell and Barry Knight.
