It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Rick Corry at his home, July 28, 2025, aged 73 years. Beloved husband of Gill and adored father of Nicola*, Tim, Megan, and Louise and father-in-law of Catalina, and Brad. Cherished brother of Yvonne, Danny, Rosemary* and Chris. Treasured Grandad of Sofia, Annie, Zara, and Henry. Uncle, brother-in- law, friend. Rick a.k.a. Rickardo, a.k.a. Grandad Bunker, a.k.a. Dad – you were known by many names but there is and will only ever be one Ricklan John Corry (*denotes deceased). McLEAN, Rosalie Anne:
On 28th July, 2025 at Bupa Windsor Park Care Home, Gore. Rosalie passed away supported and loved by all her family; aged 91 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Jack, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Pam and Grant (Gore), Liz and Finn (Queenstown), Janene and Peter (Christchurch), Kerryn and Ross (Te Anau), Johnny and Sarah (Balfour), cherished Grandma and great Grandma of all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. SMITH, Catherine:
Peacefully in Cromwell, on Saturday, July 26, 2025, exactly one month before her 93rd birthday. Dearly loved wife of the late Doug Smith, much loved mother of Yvonne (Kaka Point), John and Vanessa (Clyde), Heather (Geelong), and the late Jennifer stillborn 1959, beloved Nana of Daniel and Tahnee (Warrnambool), Peter and Bex, Bryce and Ella, Aidan and Katie (Christchurch), Eden and Jasper (Geelong) and great Nana Alison of Quinn and Bern (Warrnambool). Our deep gratitude to all the staff and team at Golden View Care for the joy and compassion they brought to Alison in her short stay with them. A memorial service will be held in the Cromwell and Districts Presbyterian Church, 10 Elspeth Street, on Thursday, July 31, at 2.00pm, followed by afternoon tea. WOOD, Jean Delia:
11.10.1939 – 26.7.2025
Passed away peacefully at Hawthorndale Care Village, Invercargill, aged 85 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Jim Wood. Much-loved mother to Lionel Wood and Ann Gutsell; and mother-in-law to Nevan Wood. Grandma to Jordanna, Tyla, Kore, Juavelle, Tama, Weluke; and her great-grandchildren, Archie, Poppy, Romi, Tove, Kenia, and Kaleb. As per Jean’s wishes a private ceremony will be held to farewell her. Special thanks to Vivian, Norah, Shaun and Una for all your kindness and support given to Jean over the years. Family would like to thank Hawthorndale Care Village staff for their care over the last 18 months. Special thanks to the Hospice team and Monarch Health for their help and support.
