Peacefully at Hospice Southland on Wednesday, 27th August 2025. Aged 60 Years. Much loved Son of Mavis and Don Baker (Te Anau) and loved brother of Barbara, Jill, Heather, Alan and the late Katrina. A loved uncle and great uncle and friend to many. As per David’s wishes a private cremation has taken place, but a memorial service will be held in Te Anau with a date to be confirmed. Mum passed away peacefully on Monday 25th July 2025 at Rowena Jackson, Invercargill. Dearly loved wife of the late David. Much loved Mum, Mother-in-Law, Gran and Great Gran of Sharyn and Ian Goodman, James and Liv, Josh, Georgia, Chris and Rebecca Burns, Olivia, Luca and Maison, and Daisy. Our beloved mum passed away unexpectedly on Saturday 30 August 2025, at the age of 74, surrounded by her loving family. Dearly loved wife of the late Robert. On August 31, 2025, peacefully at Dunstan Hospital surrounded by his family after a long battle. Dearly loved husband and soulmate of Jo, much loved father, father-in-law and Pop of Sarah and Tim, Jerry, Sean and Chloe, Tristin, Phoenix and Natalya. Loved son and son-in-law of the late Anderson and Dorothy, and Carol and the late Brent, brother and brother-in-law of Wayne, Chris and Dianne, Murray, Sue and Darrell, Diane and Kevin, and Tracey, loved uncle of his nieces and nephews. A service for Pete will be held in the Harvest Court Convention Centre, 6 Barry Avenue, Cromwell, at 1.00pm on Friday, September 5. Peacefully, at Golden View Care, Cromwell, on August 27, 2025; in her 91st year. Beloved wife of Bill*, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Kevin and Debbie* and Gaynor Sims (Nelson), Warwick and Roz Sims (East Taieri), Angela and Geoff Still (Te Anau), Bronwyn and Evan Jeffs (Christchurch), much loved grandmother of David* and Amber Sims, Krissy Sims, Stephanie Still*, Sarah and Hamish Thomson, Mark and Ashleigh Still, Ross and Jane Jeffs, step-grandmother to Cherise Finnie; Farren and Ty Ratahi; Briar, Anna and Scott Prestidge, great-grandmother to Ella, Ash and Evie Sims; Anya Cracroft-Wilson; Regan and Harvey Thomson; James, Miles and Ellie Still, great-step-grandmother to Lucas Finnie; Maxine and Eden Ratahi. Many thanks to the staff at Golden View Care for their care of Mum in her final weeks. In accordance with her wishes, Mum is now buried with Dad after a private service in the Wanaka Cemetery. Phyllis died peacefully at Invercargill, on the 1st September 2025, aged 100 years. Dearly loved and loving wife of the late Max. Much loved and respected mother and mother-in-law of Coreen and Lindsay Halder (Crookston), Beryl and Murray Black (Invercargill), and Grant and Jenny (Lincoln). Much loved and special Grandma of Jonathan and Donna Halder, Maxine Johnstone, Justine and Brett Gerrard, Louise and Jeff Haig; Ruth and James Watson-Black, Catherine and Andrew McGregor, Georgina and Gareth Wishart, and a loved Great Grandma of her 23 Great Grandchildren.
