Much beloved and loving husband of Donna; dear father to Meagan, Francesca, Scott, Michelle and Poppy; father-in-law to Mark, John, James and Liam; grandfather to Laura, Will, Rosa, Evie and Cohen; cherished brother to Bill and Janine, and uncle to his nieces and nephews. Peacefully on Thursday, October 8, 2026, in his 86th year, at Aspiring Enliven Care Centre, Wanaka. Loved husband of the late Sylvia, and loved father and father-in-law of Tim, Scooter and Nicky. Passed away gracefully at Golden View care home, Cromwell Friday October 9, 2026; Aged 90 years. Loved wife of Owen of 68 years. Cherished Mum of Allan (Jock) & Maisey, Lorral & Annette. BENNETT, Gordon Francis:

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Gordon Francis Bennett, who passed away peacefully at Ripponburn Hospital and Home in Cromwell. Gordon was best friend and Dad to Lorne and Nathan, father-in-law to Andi, and Grandad to Amy and Eddy. Beloved companion of Diane, Dad to Angela and Pamela, and Grandad to Robert, Ethan, Dominic, Zara and Talia. Gordon will be remembered for the love he gave, sharp sense of humour, and the special place he held in the hearts of his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. A service to celebrate Gordon’s life will be held in the Cromwell and District’s Presbyterian Church, 10 Elspeth Street, Cromwell at 11am on Friday, October 16. Family and friends are warmly invited to come together to celebrate his life and share cherished memories, as we pay our respects to a gentleman who meant so much to so many.
