Passed away peacefully at Rowena Jackson Retirement Home, Invercargill, on Thursday 13 August 2026, aged 94. Beloved wife of the late Bryon. Much loved and respected mother and mother-in-law of Wayne* and Bronwyn (Invercargill), Neil and Kate (Invercargill), Wendy and Peter (Cromwell), and Stewart *. Special friend of Anne-Marie (Invercargill). Val was a special “wee Nana” to her grandchildren: Daniel and Kate, Richard and Kate, Katherine and Aidan, Margot and Brandon, Sarah and Simon, Rachel and Mark, Matthew and Samantha, Ryan and Sarah, Jacob and Natasha. She was a great-grandmother to 19 great-grandchildren.
Loving sister and sister-in-law to Athol* and Edna, Heather* and Bob*, Murray* and Jenny*, Gary* and Helen, Keith and Ann. A service to celebrate Val’s life will be held on Wednesday August 19 at 11.00am, at the Presbyterian Church, 11 Meldrum Street, Winton. The family warmly invite you thereafter to join them for light refreshments in the Church lounge. This will be followed by a burial at the East Winton Cemetery. Val’s family would like to acknowledge and thank all the carers at Rowena Jackson for their care and support during her time there.

Peacefully on Thursday August 13th, 2026. Loved husband of Jan for 55 years. Loved father and father-in-law of Sara and Richard Bain, Christine, Geoff and Jacqui. Much loved grandad of all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Loved brother and brother-in-law of John and Margie, Lynne, Graham and Karen. Loved uncle of his nieces and nephews. WOLFFENBUTTEL, Neville “Nev”:
After a long hard battle, Neville passed peacefully at Southland Hospital on Wednesday 12 August 2026; aged 62 years. He will live on through Maxine, Tim, Ben, Melissa, Paul and Tracy as well as those whose lives he touched. As per Neville’s wishes a private family service has been held.
