Passed away peacefully, at Windsor Park Care Home, Gore, on Saturday, June 20, 2026, aged 89 years. Dearly loved wife of *Tom, much loved mother and mother-in-law of *Steve, Ross and Pauline (Dunedin), Sharon and Paul Waller (Lumsden), and treasured Gran of Kate; Michael and Steph, and Nicholas; Blair, and Laura. Loved Great-Gran of Ollie, Isla, Sophie, and Charlotte. The last of 11 children, a cherished sister, sister-in-law and aunt. A private service has been held as per Gail's wishes. FRATER, Alan Nicolas (Butch):
Passed at Ranui, Alexandra, on June 23, 2026; Aged 87 years. Alan has gone peacefully to the big shearing shed in the sky and will no longer be a menace on his mobility scooter on the tracks around Alexandra. He will be sadly missed by all his family and the wonderful carers at Castlewood and Ranui. Thank you team. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. MCLEOD, Norma Jean (nee Brown):
16 November 1929 - 25 June 2026 Aged 97 years.
It is with deep sadness that we announce that Mum passed away peacefully at Resthaven Gore. Late of Otahuti, Winton and Gore. Beloved wife of the late Alexander James McLeod (Ack). Loved mother and mother-in-law of Alistair and Faye McLeod, Russell and Lesley McLeod, and Jenny and John Butler. Loved and cherished Nana and Nana Cloud to her eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Loved daughter of the late James and Jean Brown. Loved sister and sister-in-law of the late Alex and Doreen Brown, Rennie and Norvel Forbes, Florrie Brown, Meta and Innes Lindsay, Norman and Merly McLeod, Nanie and Len Orr, Alma and Obbie Chilton, and Neil McLeod. (Formerly of Ardlussa, Balfour) – Peacefully, after a long battle with his health, on Monday, June 22, 2026, aged 80 years. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Margaret, much loved father of his girls and their partners, Susan and Eric (Sydney), Linda and Jason (Timaru), Anna (Invercargill), Michelle and Bronson (Woodlands), cherished Grandad of Ryan, and Hayley; Isellah, and Zoe; Connor, and Samuel; and Chloe.
