Two Auckland Players Split $40m Powerball

Two Auckland Powerball players split $40.2 million between them in Saturday night's draw — each walking away with $20.1 million.

The winning tickets for draw 2606 were sold at Blockhouse Bay Postshop & Stationers in Auckland and online through MyLotto to another Auckland player. Each prize is made up of $20 million from Powerball First Division and $111,111 from Lotto First Division.

Seven more players won Lotto First Division, taking home $111,111 each. Those tickets were sold at Tony's Stationery & Lotto in Maungaturoto, Whitcoulls Glenfield in Auckland, Pak N Save Napier City, New World Island Bay in Wellington, Fresh Choice Renwick, and through MyLotto to players in Hamilton and Taupō.

Five Strike Four winners each picked up $40,000, with tickets sold through MyLotto to players in Auckland, Kawerau, Taupō and Wellington, plus New World Waihi.

Twenty-nine players won $19,686 each in Lotto Second Division — and one of those tickets was sold through MyLotto to an Invercargill player.

The rest of the Second Division winners were spread across Dargaville, Auckland, Waitakere, Tauranga, Hamilton, Gisborne, Napier, Clive, Upper Hutt, Lower Hutt, Wellington, Nelson, Canterbury, Christchurch and Dunedin.
