No one in Southland scooped Saturday night's Lotto draw, but the jackpots rolling into Wednesday are worth knowing about.

Powerball was not won and climbs to $28 million on Wednesday. Lotto First Division also went begging — it resets to $1 million. Strike Four remains unclaimed at $400,000.

Twenty-four players did pocket Second Division wins of $16,396 each. Two of those tickets also carried Powerball Second Division, lifting their total haul to $30,183 apiece. Not a bad Saturday.

None of the winning Second Division tickets were sold in Invercargill or anywhere in Southland. The nearest winner was a MyLotto ticket registered to Dunedin. The bulk of the winning tickets came from Auckland, Hamilton, and Christchurch stores, with a handful from smaller North Island towns.

Anyone who bought a ticket at one of the winning stores — or played online through MyLotto — should check their ticket in-store, on MyLotto, or through the MyLotto app.

Lotto NZ notes, as it always does, that large jackpots do not improve your odds. "It's important to remember that big jackpots still have small odds. We know high jackpots can be exciting, but remember, your chances of winning remain small, no matter how large the jackpot gets."

The next draw is Wednesday.
